Is your lovey a regal beagle? A dashing dachshund? A charismatic cat? Now extended through Dec. 15, 2022, send us a high-resolution photo of your pet looking their best for a chance to have their image recreated, framed and displayed on the walls of our Chesapeake and Virginia Beach clinics.
Animal Vision Center of Virginia will select approximately 10 photos among those received and will collaborate with talented Etsy artists to feature the pets in two styles of portraiture:
- Formal manor-style portrait style (left), featuring your pet facing the camera. The artists will adapt these headshots to show your pets in various styles of period clothing of their choice. These will adorn the walls at our Pembroke Manor House location.
- Casual portraits (right), featuring your pet’s head in a natural, illustrated rendering for display at our Chesapeake clinic.
Tips for taking your pets’ photos
- Quality – Make sure the photos are in high resolution and not blurry. Close-up photos work best.
- Lighting – The best photos are taken in well-lit or natural light settings. Ensure the whole face and neck are visible and not in shadows. Avoid bad lighting.
- Pose – Try to take the photo at eye level with your pet. Ensure your pet’s entire head is in the picture (no ears are out of frame). It works best if your pet is looking directly at the camera or looking away from the camera. We definitely want to see their eyes!
Once you have taken the photos, please complete the form below and upload the photos by December 15, 2022 to Animal Vision Center of Virginia.
