I couldn’t have asked for a better job. I love what I do and look forward to coming to work each and every day. Seeing our pet patients, meeting their owners and conferring with their family veterinarians are the most gratifying aspects of owning and operating Animal Vision Center of Virginia. It’s hard to believe that our practice turned three last year. Since 2015, we have covered a lot of ground – from initially getting to know you through our mobile-based practice, to opening the doors of our Virginia Beach center.
As the practice has grown, we’ve enjoyed communicating with you through email, on social media and in our quarterly newsletter, Insights. We hope to use our new blog, In Focus, to expand on stories about the pets we see, the treatments we offer and the services we provide to help your pet “see a better future.”
In this space, we’ll take a closer look at veterinary ophthalmology, with helpful information for our veterinary partners, pet parents and those who are considering Animal Vision Center of Virginia for the first time. In the months to come, we will cover topics such as:
- What happens during an initial wellness exam
- Common ocular diseases and how to spot them
- Interesting case studies
- How to prepare your pet for surgery and follow-up care
- Features on some of our community partners
- Tricks and tips we’ve learned in our many years of caring for animals with ocular disease
- And lots more!
Our blog aims to inform, and I hope you will sign up now to receive In Focus in your inbox several times a month. In addition, we’d love to hear about blog posts that would interest you in the future. Just send me a note at [email protected]
Thanks for joining us, and happy reading!
All the best,
Dr. Heather
